  • February 23 - SAUSD Board of Education gave preliminary approval for 126 RIFs
  • March 9 - SAUSD Board of Education to approve final RIF list
  • March 15 - Written layoff notices must be either personally given or mailed by registered mail
  • March 30 - Information meeting @ SAEA Offices - 2107 N. Broadway, Suite #305, Santa Ana, CA 92706
  • April 29 - RIF hearing - Location TBA

Questions:

• Can I see the seniority list?
  • The District is still working on the senority list and it will be available after March 15.
• What about tie-breakers?
  • The District approved tie-breaker criteria at the Feb 9 SAUSD Board of Eduction Meeting.
• Are CSR, QEIA or TOSA affected?
  • CSR, QEIA and TOSA are still funded
• Are there any categories of teachers not affected this year?
  • Counselors, Psychologists, Science, Math and Special Education teachers will not be receive RIF notices.
